St. John Christian Church was founded by the Rev. Ira H. Jenkins in 1982.  Rev. Jenkins served as the Senior Pastor for 26 years before retiring and passing the torch to his nephew, Pastor Derek T. Nolen.

Pastor Derek T. Nolen is a man after God's own heart.  His love for God and his love for God's people shows in his daily walk with God.

Elder Tomara L. Nolen is a woman of God that believes in nurturing and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
